The Holy Calling of God’s Grace
TEXT: (2 Timothy 1:9)  “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,”
INTRODUCTION:
GRACE – The wonderful way that God deals with sinful mankind.
GRACE – God’s Riches At Christ Expense.
GRACE – Unmerited and undeserved favor with God, from God and only through God.
GRACE – The way God calls mankind into a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
GRACE is represented by the number 5 and I would like for us to see the 5 part calling of God’s Holy GRACE!
I. GOD’S GRACE CALLS TO SALVATION
A. His Call of Grace is to EVERYONE because all have sinned and come short of His glory.
(2 Peter 3:9)  “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
B. His Call of Grace is only thru His Son Jesus Christ.
(Acts 4:12)  “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
C. His Call of Grace is through Repentance and Faith.
(Luke 13:3)  “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
(Hebrews 11:6)  “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
D. His Call of Grace is through a personal call upon the name of the Lord.
(Romans 10:13)  “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
II. GOD’S GRACE CALLS TO SEPARATION
(1 John 2:15)  “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
A. A Life that conforms to the image of Jesus.
B. A life that is lived in the world, but not of the world.
C. A life that walks and talks different than the world.
D. A life that brings honor and glory unto the Lord.
III. GOD’S GRACE CALLS TO SACRIFICE
(Luke 9:23)  “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
A. It costs to live the Christian Life!
B. Time, Talent and Tithe!
C. GRACE calls people to be GIVERS and not GETTERS!
IV. GOD’S GRACE CALLS TO SUFFERING
(1 Peter 2:21)  “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:”
A. Misunderstandings
B. Complaining from your love ones
C. Fault Finding by others.
D. Forsaken by family and friends sometimes.
E. Religions nut or you think more of church than you do of me!
V. GOD’S GRACE CALLS TO SERVICE
(Acts 13:2)  “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.”
A. God SAVES a person to SERVE, not to SLEEP!
B. God SAVES a person to:
(Luke 14:23)  “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
C. God SAVES a person to impact people’s life for the cause of Christ.
D. God’s SAVES a person:
1. to build churches
2. claim mission fields
3. fill Bible College with students
4. continue to bring the boys and girls in on the church bus
5. teach Sunday School
6. sing in the choir
7. help the preacher
8. pray for the lost and saved a like
9. be faithful in stewardship
E. God Grace Calls to SERVICE and everyone saved  has been called to serve in some area and others have been called to serve in several areas.
CONCLUSION:
God’s Grace calls to: Salvation, separation, sacrifice, suffering and service. Have you responded to the GRACE of God’s Calling? Today is the day, right now; Come to Jesus just like you are and  He will make you what you ought to be.
